The Kentucky SBIR/STTR annual conference, organized by KSEF/KSTC, is an opportunity for small tech businesses, entrepreneurs, and university researchers to learn about $2.5 billion in Federal SBIR/STTR Program funding opportunities. SBIR/STTR Program officers from several federal agencies will present their agency-specific programs and be available for one-on-one meetings with registrants. Topics include differences in Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Research, eligibility requirements, and how to win grants.
  This annual conference also provides opportunities to learn more about Kentucky SBIR/STTR assistance programs and other State programs for small businesses. The 2014 Kentucky SBIR/STTR Annual Conference in Lexington, KY is designed for anyone from universities, the business community, state and local leaders, and students and PostDocs. In addition, anyone interested in Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) projects and proposal preparation will benefit.
     

ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS

Federal Program officers and conference speakers are available for pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings during the conference. Registrants are eligible to schedule one time slot (15 minutes) with each speaker via the online appointment system, open as of March 14.   A limited number of time slots are available on a first come basis. You must be registered for the conference before scheduling. Conference registrants will be notified by email with details for accessing the online appointment system.

Online registration includes presentation materials, light continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks. Conference registrants are eligible, on a first come basis, to schedule one-on-one sessions with Federal Program officers and conference speakers (see "One-On-One Sessions" above).

To be eligible for the Student / PostDoc early bird discounted rate, we require an email sent to KSEFPM @ kstc.com by your supervising professor confirming your current status. The online registration must be completed by the Student/PostDoc online deadline and must contain the information associated with your active Student/PostDoc status. Similarly, the status confirmation must be sent to KSEFPM @ kstc.com by the Student/PostDoc Early Bird registration deadline.

Registration refunds may be available up to ten calendar days before the event; no refunds thereafter.
