Kentucky SBIR/STTR Phase Zero and Phase Double Zero Program

altAbout the Kentucky SBIR/STTR Phase Zero and Phase Double Zero Program

The Kentucky Phase Zero (PZ) and Phase Double Zero (DZ) Program provides funding for Kentucky-based Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR), specifically for the development of Federal Phase I and Phase II proposals. This program is managed by the Kentucky Science and Engineering Foundation (KSEF) at the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation (KSTC).

Only Kentucky small businesses, Kentucky university-affiliated businesses, and Kentucky college and university faculty are eligible to seek PZ/DZ funds. To qualify for PZ/DZ funding, the applicant (a) must be in "good" standing with the Kentucky Secretary of State and "active" status from the time of PZ/DZ award throughout the entire award period, (b) must submit the federal proposal as a Kentucky company, and (c) must be up to date [i.e. not past due or in default] with all reporting requirements and deliverables for all KSTC-managed programs. Read the "Guidelines and RFP" for full details under the current solicitation.
