Robert Berger, PhD - Workshop Speaker

 Dr. Robert Berger is uniquely qualified to advise companies on how to prepare winning proposals in the SBIR and STTR programs. From 1995 until 2003, he was one of only ten SBIR Program Managers in the Federal government and only one of five STTR Program Managers. In this capacity, Dr. Berger was responsible for designing and running the annual SBIR and STTR competitions at the Department of Energy, with final responsibility for the selection of all awards in these programs.

Jim Greenwood - Workshop Speaker

Mr. Jim Greenwood has been active in SBIR since the program's inception, teaching firms how to write competitive SBIR proposals. Along with his wife and business partner Gail, they created an SBIR/STTR outreach program in New Mexico and trained SBDC counselors and manufacturing extension agents to identify candidates for SBIR funding. They have critiqued SBIR and STTR proposals for hundreds of firms. Read more...

Lisa Kurek - Workshop Speaker

Ms. Lisa Kurek is Managing Partner of BBC Entrepreneurial Training and Consulting LLC and has spent her entire career in the life sciences. Her experience includes R&D, product development, sales and marketing, business development and executive management. Trained in bioengineering, Ms. Kurek began her career at Baxter developing medical devices. During 12 years at Millipore Corporation, she made the transition from the laboratory into marketing, then worldwide product management, and finally into sales and sales management.
